Welcome to Wardrobes Online’s Terms and Conditions. Please read through them carefully before placing your order.
By using this website and/or placing an order you agree to the terms and conditions set out below.

At Wardrobes Online we take every effort to produce high quality wardrobe organisers and sliding doors. All of our designs are based on modular systems. We cannot take responsibility for situations where our products are used in a location where the walls or floors are not plumb, square or level.

Any building work required for the installation of our product is not included in the quoted price unless specifically quoted.
Installation instructions are available on our website. You will need some basic home tools to complete installation (including a cordless drill).

Sliding Doors are designed for a full finished door opening which is plumb, level and square. Door jambs are not included. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a flat, level surface for the top and bottom door tracks and it is the customer’s responsibility to prepare the surface to be level prior to the door installation.
Floor packers are optional at the time of order (if selected). This 9mm packer can only be used on a hard surface when carpet will be applied to the floor. Fitting of door packers is the responsibility of the customer. We do not recommend installing packers or tracks on top of carpet – this voids the warranty.
We recommend using professional carpet layers to cut the carpet if required.

Freestanding Units must be assembled onsite and, in the room, where the wardrobe will sit. You will require sufficient floor space to assemble.

Current Lead Time

Holiday Season Lead Times and Close-Down Period
Please note the following important dates regarding order processing and dispatch over November – January:

  • Sliding Door Orders: Any orders containing sliding doors received after 22nd November 2024 will be dispatched in the New Year.
  • Wardrobe Orders (Delivery): Any wardrobe orders requiring delivery received after 2nd December 2024 will be dispatched in the New Year.
  • Wardrobe Orders (Collection): Orders for collection received after 13th December 2024 will need to be collected in the New Year.

Our close-down period runs from 20th December 2024 to 5th January 2025 inclusive, and we will reopen on Monday 6th January 2025. “Working days” are excluded from this period.

We endeavour to meet the lead times below for all orders:

  • Wardrobe Systems: Approximately 5 working days
  • Sliding Doors: Approximately 20 working days

Please note that lead times may vary due to stock availability, assembly requirements, or seasonal demand. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding weekends, public holidays, and our close-down period. If timing is critical for your order, please contact us to confirm stock availability and estimated delivery dates.

Delivery and Collection

Delivery: Once your order has been booked on freight, you will receive an email with consignment tracking info, contact details for the freight carrier should you wish to liaise directly with them for delivery. Attached to the email is the Shipment Order which has an itemised list of what is included in the delivery (in some cases orders may be partially-shipped for various reasons). Please use this Shipment Order as a checklist to ensure you receive all your items, and open ALL boxes as some parts are packed across multiple boxes.
A signature is required for all deliveries. If the receiver [customer] gives the freight carrier Authority To Leave (ATL), the customer accepts liability for any damage or loss to the item(s) left in accordance with the authority, and gives the freight carrier the right to sign on their behalf. This authority overrides a sender’s [Wardrobes Online] request for a signature as proof of delivery. Please be aware our goods are not weather-resistant and should not be left outside exposed to weather conditions.
Please check all goods thoroughly for any freight damage. You must inspect each product upon arrival. Tearing, ripping, holes, fork hoist holes, compression to the outer packaging at time of delivery are all indications of a possible damage or loss within. Please report to us in writing (email) within 24 hours from delivery if the goods have been received damaged clearly identifying which parts have been damaged and include photos that shows damaged item/s. No claims will be accepted if you report us after 24 hours from delivery or if it is accepted by the signatory without “Damage/Loss”.

Delivery Areas: Kaitaia, Kerikeri, Whangarei, Auckland*, Hamilton, Cambridge, Thames, Tauranga, Mt Maunganui, Whakatane, Rotorua, Taupo, Gisbourne, Napier, Hastings, New Plymouth, Whanganui, Palmerston North, Levin, Paraparaumu, Tawa, Porirua, Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt, Wellington, Nelson, Blenheim, Christchurch, Ashburton, Timaru.
*excluded is Waiheke Island and Great Barrier Island.
We are able to deliver to many areas outside of these listed, however a freight surcharge may apply. Deliveries to Rural Locations as Classified by Wardrobes Online and Apartment Buildings are not possible.

Delivery Cost: You’ll receive a confirmation email from us once your order has been received and payment cleared (within 48 working hours).
If the freight fee calculated at checkout does not sufficiently cover the freight to your supplied address, we will be in contact with you with options to pay the freight surcharge, amend your delivery address, or cancel your order.

Arrange your own freight: We deliver through our preferred freight carriers, however delivery can be arranged by you. In most cases where palletised freight is required a Freight Packaging surcharge of $45 per order will be charged which is payable by you prior to collection. If your order is oversized and requires more than one pallet, we will quote you on application for this service. Collection point is from Silverdale, Auckland. Select “Collection” (Silverdale) in the checkout process and advise us of your carrier details. Pick up must be arranged via email and inform us the date of pick up at least 1 day before your order is collected by your carrier. We do not cover for any surcharge by your carrier due to failure to follow our process. It is important your freight carrier cannot pick up until you have received an email notification that your order is ready.

Mirror-Freight Surcharge: Please note that orders containing mirror sliding doors (including custom made doors and freestanding wardrobe doors) are subject to an additional mirror-freight surcharge, where delivery is required. This surcharge is applied to cover the handling procedures and any other costs associated to ensure the safe and secure transportation of mirrors (glass). This surcharge does not apply to orders where “collection” from our Silverdale warehouse is selected. This surcharge is separate to standard freight, and is excluded from freight-free promotions.

Collection from our warehouse: Customer collection is available from our Auckland (Silverdale) warehouse during the week Mon-Fri 8.30am – 3.30pm. Please ensure you have received an email confirmation that your order is ready for pick up and bring this with you (printed or electronic forms accepted). If you have not received a confirmation email then your order is not ready to be collected at this time. Orders for pick up are not wrapped for transport and we advise bringing adequate transport protection with you (blankets, tarpaulins, tie-downs etc as required). Goods must be collected within 7 days of notification that it’s ready. If your order is not collected in this time, there will be a $10 daily surcharge for each day of holding unless prior arrangements have been made with Wardrobes Online. Goods will not be held for longer than 10 days.

Collection from a freight depot: If you have arranged for us to deliver your order to a freight depot for your collection, you will be contacted by the freight company to advise when your order has arrived at their depot. Goods must be collected within 3 business days of being notified your goods are ready to collect. Goods will not be held for longer than 3 days, and may result in storage fees or a returned delivery which will be at the customers expense. Please ensure you have received confirmation that your order is ready for pick up and bring this with you along with as well as photo ID. Most large items require a 2-person lift, so please bring a second person with you. To ensure a safe transport to home, it is advised to bring blankets, tarpaulins, tie-downs etc as required to protect the goods intransit.

Damaged or Missing Items: If your item was damaged between Wardrobes Online and arriving at your delivery address, we will arrange replacement as soon as possible. Please note that for your claim to be accept you must retain the original packaging for your item(s). We may request for you to email/send pictures of damaged or defective merchandise so, we can investigate where and when the damage occurred. If goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy. Customers should contact us immediately with regards to any faulty products in the first instance. If goods are missing, please advise us asap and we will arrange the missing items to be sent as soon as possible.

Promotions

Black Friday Sale – 10% OFF sitewide – STARTS 14th November

  1. Acceptance of Terms: Participation in this promotion implies agreement with these Terms and Conditions. Non-compliance may result in disqualification.
  2. Eligibility: Open to all customers making a qualifying purchase during the promotion period, subject to additional outlined criteria.
  3. Promotion Period: 12:01am 14/11/24 to 11.59pm 03/12/24. Orders outside this period do not qualify.
  4. Qualifying Purchase: Customers must make a purchase on the official website during the promotion period. A 10% discount is applied to products as advertised on our website. The discounted price is published during the promotional period. If there are no discounts applied to certain products, they are excluded from this promotion.
  5. Exclusions: Certain products or categories may be excluded. Freight, Shipping and any surcharges incurred are excluded. The promotion cannot be combined with other offers.
  6. Modification or Termination: The company can modify or terminate the promotion at any time without prior notice.
  7. Limitation of Liability: The company is not responsible for lost orders or technical errors in the administration of the promotion.

FREE Delivery on orders $2,500 & over to most main centres

Standard Freight will be at no charge for orders that value $2,500 and higher (value excluding freight) to most main centres, for new orders placed via our website. Freight surcharges are excluded from this promotion (ie mirror-freight surcharges still apply).

  2. Eligibility: Open to all customers making a qualifying purchase during the promotion period, that meets our minimum spend value ($2500) and delivery address is within our defined main centres. Subject to additional outlined criteria.
  3. Promotion Period: As advertised on our specials page. Wardrobes Online reserves the right to cease promotion at any time.
  4. Qualifying Purchase: Customers must make a purchase on the official website during the promotion period, with the order value of $2,500 or higher (excluding freight). Freight will be deducted from your order at the checkout (prior to payment) if your supplied address meets our criteria. Wardrobes Online reserves the right to define the main centres included in this promotion, which are listed under ‘Delivery Areas’ in our T&C’s (see below). Rural addresses, apartments and certain postcodes in these regions are excluded.
  5. Exclusions: Freight surcharges are excluded from this promotion (ie mirror-freight surcharges. Certain products or categories may be excluded. The promotion cannot be combined with other offers.

WIN a $100 Prezzy Card – Review Email Promotion Terms & Conditions

This promotion offer is open to all customers of Wardrobes Online that make a full purchase through our website portal during the promotional period. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  1. One entry per customer.
  2. Promotional Period: A new winner will be drawn every quarter in 2024: 1st Draw January – March; 2nd Draw April – June; 3rd Draw July – September; 4th Draw October – December. Winners will be randomly drawn within the first 10 days of the following month (e.g. 1st Draw winner drawn in first 10 days of April 2024).
  3. A review must be submitted by one of these means: from an email notification from Wardrobes Online with a link to review; Direct reviews posted on our website product pages; or via email to sales@wardrobesonline.co.nz
  4. Reviews must contain at least one photo to be eligible to enter.
  5. The prize is as described in the promotion material; a Prezzy card to the value of NZD$100 and will be sent to the recipients address on their sales order unless specified otherwise.
  6. Entries must be submitted within 4 weeks of your purchase/or receipt of the review email, whichever is the latter. The date you submit your review will determine which draw you enter (i.e. a purchase in March, with the review submitted in April will be entered into the 2nd Draw).
  7. One winner will be chosen at the promoter’s discretion and will be announced at the end of the specified time period. The decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  8. Wardrobes Online will be the sole judge, including whether the winner has correctly completed the terms of the promotion entry.
  9. The winner will be contacted via email or phone and must be in contact with Wardrobes Online within one week of notification or the prize will be redrawn.
  10. Wardrobes Online may publish the winner’s name and town in promotional material.
  11. Wardrobes Online may use any pictures, comments and feedback for their own promotional use.
  12. By entering this competition entrants agree to receive marketing and general information from Wardrobes Online.
  13. Wardrobes Online may change the prize and amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

Prices

All prices are New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST, unless specified otherwise.
Prices are subject to change for any reason at any time without notice, but changes will not affect orders which we have already processed.
We take care to provide correct pricing on all goods for sale. If mistakes occur, we reserve the right to correct them.
Occasionally we may be unable to supply an item that has been ordered. We will communicate with you if this should arise, and if we cannot supply within a reasonable timeframe, we will credit any payments made for those items.

Promotional Price Adjustment Policy

If a customer places an order within seven days of a promotional period during which the purchased items are offered at a discounted price, either up to seven days before or seven days after the order, Wardrobes Online will honour the promotional price for the purchased items, provided that the customer contacts Wardrobes Online within seven days of their order to apply for this adjustment.

Ordering Online

We reserve the right to refuse an order. Non-acceptance of an order may, for example, result from one of the following:

* The product ordered being unavailable from stock
* Our inability to obtain authorisation of payment within 72 hours
* The identification of an error within the product information, including price or promotion
* The freight fee calculated on our website does not sufficiently cover the cost of freight to your supplied address

If there are any problems with your order we will contact you. We reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time.

We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is within our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the website.

We have taken great care to ensure our advertised products on our website are true in appearance. The colour of products may vary from screen to screen – in most cases you can request a colour sample before purchasing. Some products may vary slightly to the image, within reason. Props are not included. Product descriptions, pictures and prices are subject to change at any time without notice. We do not take responsibility for errors in pricing or product description. The products on our website will be supplied flat-packed unless stated otherwise, however as needs require we may supply products partially or fully assembled at our discretion. From time to time we may have to change product specifications in order to expedite orders efficiently. We guarantee that when these changes happen, they will meet our high standard of quality.

Payment Options

Online Payments – Visa and Mastercard payments are accepted through Windcave.

Afterpay – Buy now, pay in four instalments over 6 weeks. If your instalments are paid on time, you only pay the price of your purchase – no interest! At checkout, select Afterpay as your payment option. You will then Sign up or Sign in with Afterpay. Please see Afterpay for T’s & C’s, and what happens if a payment is missed.

Q Mastercard / Q Card: Long Term Finance Promotions – 12 Months Interest Free Terms: Applies to purchases $499 (excluding freight) & over. Exclusions may apply. Internet Banking – We are able to send you an invoice for payment via internet banking. Please send us an enquiry with your order details and contact information and we will be in touch with the next steps.

Returns and Refunds

It’s important you take accurate measurements of your wardrobes to ensure our systems and doors will suit your wardrobe prior to placing an order. We do not have to provide a refund if you have changed your mind about your purchase, so please choose carefully; however, if you have any concerns with regards to your purchase, please contact us discuss your concerns. If your return/refund is accepted by us, all returns must be in their original condition including all protective packaging and returned within 7 days of you having received the goods. (Freight costs excluded). Subject to your refund acceptance, an administration fee of $29 will apply to refunds that are for reasons out of our control. This refund-administration fee reflects the reasonable, direct and indirect costs, time and effort incurred in us providing the refund.
The item from the original order will first be returned and a new order containing the exchanged item will be processed.

Changes to orders

If you’d like to modify an existing order, such as altering your product choice or provided measurements, please send us an email beforehand to ensure the change can be accommodated. It’s possible that the order may be too advanced in the process to make alterations. Subject to order changes acceptance, an administration fee of $29 will apply. This administration fee reflects the reasonable, direct and indirect costs, time and effort incurred in us making the changes.

Warranty

Our 10 year warranty against manufacturing and components is your assurance that we back our products to perform. This warranty is valid for 10 years from the date of the order and is available to the original purchaser of the product only. Please retain your copy of invoice/receipt as proof of purchase. This warranty covers all manufacturing faults or defects. It does not cover wear, tear or damage due to misuse, negligent installation or operation, inadequate packaging by customer, cleaning or maintenance or unauthorized modifications.

Goods remain the property of Wardrobes Online until the payment has been paid in full.
